A dedicated program of research started in early 1999, and soon after, a research organization was set up to gather medical facts The organization was first called FM Research and was located in the ancient Cathedral City of Salisbury in England. After extensive research and developement the organizations of Viafin-Atlas Ltd. (International) and Viafin-Atlas Corporation (North America) were born and exclusively licensed to manufacture the SenSlip product range.

Patents were filed in 2004 and 2005 with the United Kingdom and United States of America Patents Offices, defining the description and claims of the world’s first artificial retractable foreskin.

Today, Viafin-Atlas is the foremost world leader in the production of foreskin prostheses or artificial retractable foreskins, and has a brand new purpose-built production facility near Salisbury, England.

It is the first ever dedicated production facility of its kind anywhere in the world.

As of November 2005, Viafin-Atlas Ltd. (International) and Viafin-Atlas Corporation (North America) are planning the building of another production facility in the State of California, USA.
